Research on adrenal diseases

Endocrinology is a section of the Department of Internal Medicine. Endocrinology focuses its clinical and translational research on the adrenal diseases:

This research is carried out within the Institute for Genetic and Metabolic Disease (IGMD) and the Radboud Adrenal Centre (RAC). 

Miscellaneous research projects

Outside the field of adrenal disease 5 PhD projects are currently carried out, focusing on:

  • Turner’s syndrome
  • Thyroid function and common diseases in the general population
  • Role of autophagy in thyroid carcinoma
  • Endocrine determinants of obesity (collaboration with Rijnstate Hospital, Arnhem)
  • GnRH and postmenopausal flushing (collaboration with Rijnstate Hospital, Arnhem)
