Mission Department for Health Evidence

'To develop new research methodology in the field of Health Sciences, to apply optimal research methodology to the Radboudumc’s strategically chosen research themes and to teach this methodology in the graduate and undergraduate programs and consultancy situations, so that the Department directly and indirectly contributes to better health and Healthcare.' 


The Department has three main tasks: research, education, and consultation. The focus of all three is on research methodology and data analysis, in the context of the Radboudumc’s research themes.

The Department’s keywords for its research tasks are health technology assessment, evidence-based surgery, international health, multiple testing, genomic data analyses, urological cancer, cancer screening & follow-up, reproductive epidemiology, biomonitoring, risk assessment and systematic reviews.
