Workshop Selling your research

Now more than ever, your career as a scientist depends not only on the quality of your research, but also on how well you sell it to funding agencies. This workshop will teach you how to become a successful science seller. It will be fun, and you will learn a new way of communicating!

Ronald Plasterk is the current Minister of Interior and Kingdom Relations and former Minister of Education, Culture and Science for the Labour Party (PvdA). Before entering politics he was a member of the Health Council, which advises the Ministry of Health, and a very talented scientist specialized in molecular genetics. He was director of the Hubrecht  Institute  (an institute of the KNAW) and held full professorships at the Free University of Amsterdam, the University of Amsterdam and Utrecht University.

Masterclass: How to get published by Fiona Godlee

Fiona Godlee has been Editor in Chief of The BMJ (formerly the British Medical Journal) since 2005. Recently, she was appointed honorary professor at CaRe research school.

    Pubquiz

In line with the tradition, we will close the Thursday evening with a Pubquiz. We will challenge you and your fellow PhD candidates with varied and challenging questions.
