Better insight en great outlook
During this inaugural lecture, Frank will give insight in problems in the acute medicine chain and will talk about several possible solutions. These solutions involve the rebuilding of the departments of first aid, better communication between Electronic Health Records and massive implementation of ultrasound in the first encounter of a patient in distress. Furthermore, Frank will speak about the detrimental consequences of hospital admission and the relevance of daylight. He will also speak about the decreasing trend in the number of autopsies and the relevance of scientific research to further increase the quality of care. He will speak about autopsy as an item for discussion in advance care planning.
