Radboud university medical center proudly opens two newly established Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiatives. These are the first two Gelderland-based 'labs' within the nationwide Innovation Center for Artificial Intelligence (ICAI).

Thira Lab is a collaboration between Radboudumc and Thirona, a spin-out company from Radboudumc, and Delft Imaging Systems, a company developing healthcare solutions for the specific needs of vulnerable communities around the world. In Thira Lab, nine PhD candidates and postdocs from Radboudumc work on deep learning image analysis of CT scans, radiographs and retinal images.

Radboud AI for Health
Radboud AI for Health is a new collaboration between Radboud University and Radboudumc, and is part of Radboud AI, a campus-wide initiative to improve collaboration and start new projects with AI researchers in Nijmegen. Radboud AI for Health has awarded 6 PhD positions, aimed to bring a variety of AI solutions to the clinic.

Information meeting AI for Health course
Are you employee at Radboud university medical center and would you like to learn more about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its potential application in the day-to-day practice of healthcare? Then you might be interested in taking part in the course ‘Radboud AI for Health’. The course program consists of lectures and practical exercises and concludes with a practical project on a Radboudumc case.

After the opening, on 16 September at 15.00 hours there will be a meeting in the Tuinzaal to discuss and explain the (concept) content, form and location of the AI for Health course with interested employees.
