About Webinar Publishing in Open Access
On Wednesday 27 May, the RIHS PhD Council will organize a Webinar on Publishing in Open Access.
In 2018, the Plan S initiative was launched, which aims to make full and immediate open access publishing a reality. This requires that in 2021, all scientific publications funded by public grants must be published in compliant Open Access journals or platforms. Therefore, funding organizations have provided policy for the publication of these scientific publications. The plan is supported by cOAlition S, an international consortium of research funders with the support of the European Commission and the European Research Council.
In this webinar, Jeroen Bos and Dirk van Gorp of the University Library will talk you through the process of Open Access publishing, and the possible consequences and impact for us as PhD candidates. Additionally, useful tools and guidelines from the university library will be presented that can support you in open access publishing.
