Night of the Delirium In the context of World Delirium Awareness Day14 March is World Delirium Awareness Day. All over the world local initiatives will be organized by delirium experts to create more attention and awareness for delirium (http://www.idelirium.org/ ) mostly by using social media for this.
The Radboudumc is organizing a very special and unique event: Nacht van het Delier (Night of the Delirium).
This event, specially for all healthcare professionals of the Radboudumc, starts at 22.00h (13 March) till around 0.30-1.00h (14 March) and is being held in the Tuinzaal, route 706.
Bertine Lahuis (board member of Radboudumc) will open this event at 22.15h and around 23.30h the night major of Nijmegen, Angela Verkuijlen, will also give a short speech.

Also there will be a special ‘delirium room’ which will be demonstrated by members of the GIDZ-team.You can discuss about delirium with the delirium experts of the Radboudumc while enjoying a drink and some snacks.Furthermore, there will be a present for each hospital ward which can be picked up at the event Nacht van het Delier
This event is organized by delirium experts of the Geriatrics, Psychiatry and of the Intensive Care Unit.
During the Delirium day, 14 March, delirium experts will visit all hospital wards to talk about delirium, inform nurses and doctors about delirium and to encourage them to test their delirium knowledge by doing the delirium quiz. Also special delirium information flyers for family and healthcare professionals will be distributed during the Delirium Day.
