About Swim to fight cancerSwim to Fight Cancer Nijmegen is a large, spectacular and recreational swim-event in the Spiegelwaal in Nijmegen on 9 September 2018 with the aim to raise as much funds as possible for the Fight Cancer Foundation.
These funds are being used for research on better treatments of cancer via the so called fellowships like for example research conducted by Mark Rijpkema, senior researcher in Radboudumc. Due to these fellowships, hopefully cancer shall be no longer a deadly disease in the near future.
And therefore we need you! Experienced or unexperienced in swimming, young or old, everyone as from 10 years will be able to join this event. Please join us. LET'S DO THIS TOGETHER to help this good cause!

What is Swim to Fight Cancer?Swim to Fight Cancer is a recreational swim-event in a city decor where participants and teams raise as much funds as possible for scientitic research on better cancer treatments as well as prevention and control of cancer via KWF Cancer Prevention organisation. After some succesfull edtions in other cities this swim-event will take place in Nijjmegen for the first time. Participants will swim about 1500M (adults and young people as from the age of 15) or 500M (children 10 to 17 years) Young people as from 15 till 17 years old may choose between 500M or 1500M.
HappeningWith as much other people you will swim in a beautiful citylike surrounding to achive you goal. Music, DJ's, foodtrucks, famous dutch artists, famous people from Nijmegen, but also lots of public, family and friends will support you to the finish line! After the last participants has arrived we shall announce the total result of our fundsraising event in a spectacular way.
