Brett Lidbury is an Associate Professor with the National Centre of Epidemiology and Population Health (NCEPH - RSPH), The Australian National University in Canberra. Brett visited SYRCLE and the Department of Health Evidence during late 2017, and now has a Visiting Associate Professor appointment with the Institute of Health Sciences, Radboud UMC. Close collaboration with SYRCLE on systematic reviews of animal studies will continue, with the aim of improving evidence from animal research, and ultimately translating high-quality animal evidence into human health benefit. In addition to collaboration with SYRCLE, common interests in machine-learning encouraged interaction within the Department of Health Evidence, notably with the Health Technology Assessment group. Also within Radboud UMC, a collaboration has been established with members of the Department of Internal Medicine, who share an interest in myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME), and other causes of intractable fatigue in patients.
