Fadel Muhammad Garishah
Fadel Muhammad Garishah was born in Tegal Indonesia in July 4 1991. Finishing fundamental educations at his hometown, he continued his higher education in Faculty of Medicine Diponegoro University/Dr. Kariadi University Hospital Semarang-Indonesia. He has been interested in the dynamic of host-pathogen interaction since the second year of his medical education. He finishes his bachelor degree (BSc in Medicine) with a scientific paper about the role of tropical plants extract in enhancing macrophages phagocytic capacity. Entering his medical degree (MD) he joined a research group in his university hospital, Center for Tropical and Infectious Diseases/Internal Medicine-Infectious Disease, where he involved in a big project discovering causes of platelet clearance in Dengue patients. From this work, he knew his Promotor, Prof Andre van der Ven, and being promoted to become a PhD Candidate in Department of Internal Medicine Radboud University Medical Centre. His major theme is Infectious Disease and Global Health, focusing in causes of platelet clearance in infectious diseases.
