Henk Schers researcherHenk Schers (MD, PhD) is senior researcher, Principal Clinician and REshape fellow at the Department of Primary and Community Care at Radboud University Medical Centre. His research focuses on innovation, transmural care, oncology and palliative care. He finished his PhD on continuity of care in 2004, and has continued research in several fields since then. He is a leading academic GP in a health centre in Nijmegen, and chairs the Practice Based Research Network of general practititioners.
Henk Schers chairs the Radboudumc Family Medicine Network, the practice based research network of the department, and is chairman of Nijmegenop een Lijn, a collaborative network of primary care organisations promoting and organising integrated care in the region.In recent years his research focus has been on innovative concepts, networks and research at the intersection of primary and secondary care, eg elderly care, oncology, palliative medicine, and osteoartritis.
