After finishing my PhD, I have worked at the University of Colorado (2012), Maastricht University Medical Center+/TNO (2012-2015) and Radboudumc (2015-present). As a physiotherapist and biomedical scientist, I work with my team to study the merit of physiotherapy for people with chronic conditions. We proceed from the assumption that to do clinically-relevant and -impactful research, we need to embrace the complexity of daily (physiotherapy) practice and we need to study personalized, rather than protocolized, interventions.

I am currently supervising 9 PhD-students and 1 Postdoc. I have supervised 2 completed PhD trajectories as co-supervisor.
