Ronald van Rij's group studies virus-host interactions in both mosquito vector and mammalian host. By doing so, we hope to gain insights into arbovirus transmission and contribute to the development of novel antiviral therapy.
Willem Melchers' research aims to improve the nationwide cervical cancer screening, with the possibility of using self sampling. Important herein is research on the use of new triage methods for hrHPV positive women, by using HPV genotyping or molecular biomarkers.
