On Tuesday 18 February 2020 the RIHS 'Koek & Zopie' event took place. In front of an audience of more than 125 colleagues, RIHS awardees accepted their awards for the best PhD thesis, the research product with the highest impact on society, the best peer-reviewed publication and the Supervisor of the year 2019.

The winner of the RIHS Science Award 2019 is the Circulation publication by Vincent Aengevaeren (on the photo on the right) and colleagues, entitled ‘Exercise-Induced Cardiac Troponin I Increase and Incident Mortality and Cardiovascular Events’.

One of the two winners of the RIHS Supervisor of the year award 2019 is Thijs Eijsvogels (on the photo second from the right) 

Some of the qualifications mentioned:
'' We believe Thijs is a great supervisor overall, but for this motivation we would like to specifically mention 3 things in which we believe Thijs excels: approachable, engaged and positive attitude".

The award winners will receive €750.
