On October 13 and 14, the Dutch Nephrology Days were held as a virtual meeting in conjunction with the annual Dutch Federation for Nephrology Fall symposium.
It was a well organised and interactive online event with various invited lectures, as well as poster and oral presentation by researchers from different Dutch universities.
Jenny van der Wijst was awarded the best poster prize in the Fundamental Science category. She presented her abstract entitled “Structural insight into the regulation of the epithelial calcium channel TRPV5", which demonstrates how the calcium-sensing protein calmodulin is interacting with TRPV5 to modulate its function. “It is nice to see that the fundamental work was appreciated” according to Jenny.
