Research Departments Physiology 20220503 Joost Hoenderop 25 years at Radboudumc
3 May 2022

Joost obtained his PhD in medical sciences at Radboud University Nijmegen in 2000.
After that, Joost pursued an EMBO fellowship at the Institute of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland.
On 1 July 2010 Joost was appointed as professor at the Medical Faculty of the Radboud
University Nijmegen with the chair Molecular Renal Physiology.

Joost distinguishes himself by his inexhaustible energy and always positive attitude.
With his enthusiasm and commitment he has successfully guided a large number of PhD students with their research over the years, and also as a senior lecturer he knows how to motivate and inspire students. He has built up a brilliant track record in 25 years. We are particularly proud to have Joost as a fellow Physiologist within our department.

To celebrate this wonderful milestone, we recently had a nice get-together with drinks and bites where Joost got surprised with nice words, personal gifts and a beautiful personalized photo book from the Molecular Physiology colleagues, which he will hopefully look at often in the future.
