Onderwijs op de campus in het nieuwe collegejaar Wat betekent dit voor het onderwijs vanuit het Radboudumc?

De overheid heeft besloten dat de anderhalvemetermaatregel in het hoger onderwijs vervalt vanaf 30 augustus. Dat maakt dat onze campus vanaf het nieuwe collegejaar weer voor een groot deel open kan. Wij informeren je graag wat dit voor het onderwijs vanuit het Radboudumc betekent. 

Rooster eerste kwartaal

Vanwege de grote complexiteit van de roosters en de verwevenheid van ons onderwijs met de zorg en de zorgorganisatie blijven de roosters die gemaakt zijn voor het eerste kwartaal onveranderd. Wel kun je een aanvraag indienen bij de afdeling roostering als je het online onderwijs om wilt zetten naar fysiek onderwijs. Dit kan als:   

• De datum en tijdstip hetzelfde is als in het rooster vermeld staat.
• De groep uit maximaal 75 studenten bestaat. Hoorcolleges voor meer dan 75 studenten die reeds online zijn ingeroosterd, blijven in kwartaal 1 online staan.

Aanvraag indienen

In het document 'werkwijze' lees je hoe je de aanvraag indient. De afdeling roostering neemt de aanvraag in behandeling en geeft binnen een week door of er een onderwijsruimte beschikbaar is. Is dit het geval, dan zien de studenten de wijziging automatisch terug in myTimetable.

Maximale groepsgrootte (onderwijs)ruimtes

Er mogen maximaal 75 studenten per (zelfstandige) onderwijsruimte aanwezig zijn. Dit is exclusief docenten en begeleiders. De medische bibliotheek, het studie- en projectenplein en de omloop zijn open voor studieactiviteiten en Restaurant de Haardt voor een kop koffie of lunch. Ook in al deze ruimtes geldt een maximum van 75 personen.

Afstand bewaren

Omdat we in het Radboudumc omgaan met kwetsbare patiënten en veel van onze docenten ook in de zorg werken, versoepelen wij voorzichter dan in de rest van de samenleving. Daarom blijft het verzoek óók aan studenten om waar mogelijk afstand van elkaar te bewaren. De docent houdt in ieder geval anderhalve meter afstand van de studenten. Het ziekenhuis geldt niet als onderwijsgebouw. Hier blijft de anderhalvemetermaatregel verplicht.  

Mondneusmaskerplicht 

In de gangen en andere doorstroomruimtes van de onderwijsgebouwen geldt de maximale groepsgrootte van 75 personen niet. Daarom is vanaf 22 augustus bij alle verplaatsingen het dragen van een mondneusmasker verplicht. We volgen hiermee het beleid van de overheid.

Wanneer je eenmaal zit, kan het mondneusmasker in principe af. Als docent mag je studenten echter wel verzoeken om, ook als ze zitten, een mondneusmasker te dragen (studenten zijn hierover geïnformeerd). Docenten die ook in de zorg werken dragen tijdens het onderwijs altijd een mondneusmasker.

Voor practica en vaardighedenonderwijs gelden strengere regels omdat hier vaak op elkaar geoefend wordt. Deze protocollen blijven ongewijzigd; een chirurgisch mondneusmasker is verplicht. Ook als je zit.

Wat te doen bij verzuim studenten?

Studenten wordt geadviseerd om bij corona gerelateerde klachten thuis te blijven. Nu we meer fysiek onderwijs gaan geven, kan dit gevolgen hebben voor het verzuim van de student. Dit verzuim kan bij verplicht onderwijs worden behandeld als ‘reguliere afwezigheid’. Mocht de student zich onevenredig vaak ziek melden, dan kun je hier melding van maken bij de coördinator.

Education on Campus in the New Academic Year

The 1.5-meter measure will expire for higher education on 30 August. This means that our campus can open again in large part from the start of the new academic year. We would like to inform you of what this means for education. 

First Quarter Schedule

Due to the great complexity of the schedules and how integrated our education activities are in the healthcare system and our healthcare organization, the schedules for the first quarter will remain unchanged. However, you can submit a request to the scheduling department if you would like to convert online education to in-person education. This is possible if:   

• the date and time remain as they are on the schedule
• the group size does not exceed 75 students. A lecture scheduled online for more than 75 students will remain online in the first quarter.

Submitting a request

The document procedure details how you can submit a request. The scheduling department will process the request and will provide information regarding the availability of an education space within a week. If this is the case, students will automatically see the change reflected in myTimetable.

Maximum Group Size for Education Spaces

A maximum occupancy of 75 students applies to education spaces (self-contained or otherwise). This excludes lecturers and support staff. The medical library, the study and project square, and the main corridor will be open for study activities, and Restaurant de Haardt will be open for coffee or lunch. The maximum occupancy of 75 people also applies to those spaces.

Keeping Your Distance

At Radboud university medical center, we interact with vulnerable patients and many of our lecturers also work in healthcare. As a result, we are relaxing our measures more cautiously than the rest of society. For this reason, we kindly ask that students keep their distance from others whenever possible. The lecturer will always maintain a distance of 1.5 meters from students. Lecturers who also work in healthcare will wear a face mask during education activities. Note: The hospital is not considered an education building. The 1.5-meter rule is a requirement there.

The maximum occupancy of 75 people does not apply to corridors or other pathways in the education buildings. This is why it is compulsory to wear a face mask when moving through the building after 22 August. This is in accordance with government policy.

You can remove your face mask once you sit down. However, you can ask students to wear their face mask even when seated (students have been informed of this). Lecturers who also work in healthcare will always wear a face mask during education activities.

Stricter rules are in place for laboratory courses and skills education as there is often direct contact during the exercises. These protocols remain unchanged: wearing a surgical face mask is compulsory, even when seated.

What to Do When Students Are Absent?

Students with coronavirus-related symptoms are advised to stay at home. This may affect student absences now that we will be providing more education in person. These absences can be treated as “regular absences” for compulsory education. If the student is disproportionately absent due to illness, then please inform the coordinator.
