Artificial intelligence in healthcare
Who assesses a scan of the prostate better, a medical specialist or a smart, self-learning computer? Well, they do it equally well, but together they are even better. Artificial intelligence (AI) offers medical specialists the possibility of a digital second opinion. With AI, Radboud university medical center develops successful innovations in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases. For example, we are developing AI for better analysis of CT scans of the lungs, when lung cancer is suspected. Our radiologists only have to focus on the suspected cases. This saves a lot of time. And that is much needed, given the increasing number of people with cancer. With AI for Health we work towards our mission: to have a significant impact on health and healthcare.
