Debby Gerritsen, department of Primary and Community Care, has been appointed associate professor Mental wellbeing of frail elderly people with complex care needs.
With a special interest in elderly people with dementia, the focus of her work is on the development and evaluation of interventions for quality of life, mental health and self-management abilities using mixed methods designs. Her work is predominantly based at the long term care network Universitair Kennisnetwerk Ouderenzorg Nijmegen (UKON), and she collaborates with several national and/or international partners. As an associate professor, she will continue this work and is involved in the scientific eduction of medical students.-
