Enith: treatment for obesity
Targetgroup
Eligibility criteria:
• Age ≥ 18 years AND
• BMI
≥ 30 kg/m² OR
≥ 27 kg/m² and, in addition: (pre-diabetes) or high blood pressure or high cholesterol or sleep apnea or cardiovascular disease.
About the investigation
The Enith study investigates a new drug that may help treat obesity.
Treatment groups
Participating patients will be randomly assigned to 4 groups. These groups will be compared with one another.
Group 1
- One injection per week with a placebo
Group 2
- One injection per week with 8 mg of the study drug
Group 3
- One injection per week with 16 mg of the study drug
Group 4
- One injection per week with 24 mg of the study drug
This study will last just over 1 year, during which participants will need to visit the hospital 16 times; in between visits, there will be follow-up by telephone.
