Rinke van den Brink – a journalist and author with over forty years of experience, including seventeen years as a senior healthcare editor at the NOS – paints a compelling picture of the silent global crisis of antibiotic resistance. The book reveals how vulnerable our healthcare becomes without effective antibiotics: from organ transplants to cancer treatments and even routine surgeries. By interviewing international experts, Van den Brink shows how politics, failing healthcare systems, and inadequate collaboration threaten progress.
