Department Anesthesiology

The Anesthesiology department focuses on care before, during and after surgery.

Department Cardiology

The Cardiology department focuses on cardiovascular disease in adults.

Department Cardiothoracic Surgery

The Cardiothoracic Surgery department focuses on the surgical treatment of heart and lung diseases.

Department Dentistry

The Dentistry department performs orthodontics and special oral care, treats cleft palates and also offers regular dental checkups.

Department Dermatology

The Dermatology department focuses on the treatment of skin conditions. Most examinations and treatment take place on an outpatient basis.

Department Ear, Nose and Throat

The Ear, Nose and Throat department provides patient care in the areas of ear surgery, nose and face surgery and head and neck surgery.

Department Emergency Medicine

The Emergency Medicine department is concerned with the care of illnesses or injuries that require immediate medical attention.

Department Gastroenterology and Hepatology

The Gastroenterology and Hepatology department is specialized in diseases, treatments and examinations of the digestive system.

Department Genetics

The Genetics department treats and studies inherited disorders in patients and their families.

Department Geriatrics

The Geriatrics department provides care for elderly patients who often have a combination of physical, psychological and social problems.

Department Hematology

The Hematology department focuses on blood diseases. These include benign and malignant disorders of blood, bone marrow and lymph nodes. But also, for example, clotting disorders and blood transfusion problems.

Department Imaging

The Imaging department examines and treats various conditions, and has three focus areas: anatomy, nuclear medicine and radiology.

Department Intensive Care

The Intensive Care department admits seriously ill patients in whom one or more major bodily functions have failed or are threatened.

The Internal Medicine department examines and treats patients with conditions throughout the field of internal medicine such as diabetes, high blood pressure and fatigue.

Department IQ Health

The IQ Health department is one of our three scientific departments; a department that does not provide patient care, but focuses on research and education. This department acquires and disseminates knowledge and methodology on preventing disease and improving care.

Department Laboratory Medicine

The Laboratory Medicine department offers both routine and specialized laboratory determinations in the fields of dermatology, hematology and medical immunology.

Department Medical BioSciences

The Medical BioSciences department is one of our three scientific departments; a department that does not provide patient care, but focuses on research and education. This department focuses on medical life sciences to better understand disease and health and improve diagnostics and treatment.

Department Medical Microbiology

The Medical Microbiology department focuses on detection, diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases caused by microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, parasites and fungi.

Department Medical Neuroscience

The Medical Neuroscience department is one of our three scientific departments; a department that does not provide patient care, but focuses on research and education. This department studies the development and function of the nervous system in health and disease.

Department Medical Oncology

The Medical Oncology department sees patients with cancer who are being or have been treated with drugs.

Department Medical Psychology

The Medical Psychology department provides a broad and differentiated range of patient care for patients of our outpatient and inpatient departments.

Department Nephrology

The Renal Diseases department examines and treats patients with kidney disease.

Department Neurology

The Neurology department focuses on diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the brain.

Department Neurosurgery

The Neurosurgery department focuses on the surgical treatment of disorders of the brain, cerebral skull, skull base, cranial nerves, spinal cord, spine and peripheral nervous system.

Department Obstetrics and Gynecology

The Obstetrics and Gynecology department offers a very broad range of care to women at different stages of life, both for common conditions and for complex and rare syndromes and issues.

Department Ophthalmology

The Ophthalmology department examines and treats patients with disorders of the eye and surrounding organs.

Department Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department mainly treats diseases and abnormalities of the mouth, jaw and face.
