Nijmegen, the oldest city of The Netherlands, is situated in the east of Holland, close to the German border. The city is easily accessible by all means of transport.
- By plane: Airport Weeze (45 km), Eindhoven Airport (60 km) and Amsterdam-Schiphol airport (135 km).
- By train: Nijmegen is easily accessible from all parts of the Netherlands by the Dutch Railways.
- By car: You can also reach Nijmegen by car. There are various parking garages near the city centre, however the parking rates during working hours might be fairly high. Parking outside the city centre is less expensive.
- By bus: The regional bus service can take you everywhere within Nijmegen (and also places nearby like Wijchen, Arnhem, Malden and a few German cities). Radboud university medical center is a few minutes away from the central station by bus.
- By bike: Nijmegen is a very bike-friendly city. You can rent bikes in several places, but the most common is the underground bike facility at the central station.
