InScience Film Festival is back! From 3 to 8 March 2026, LUX Nijmegen will once again be dedicated to the InScience Film Festival, the international film festival where science and cinema meet. The full program is now available and tickets can be purchased. As every year, experts from Radboudumc are participating in several programme components, including those on HIV and women’s healthcare. As always, colleagues can use a discount code, and this year there is also a special discount for students.
For six days, InScience will screen the most impressive science films released in the past year. Several screenings are accompanied by a discussion, in which filmmakers, scientists and other experts explore the themes of the films before or after the screening. Experts and researchers from Radboudumc will also contribute to various programme elements.
Discount for staff and students
As every year, Radboudumc staff can attend film screenings at a reduced rate.

- This year there is a special offer for students. Their tickets cost €5 each. Order your student ticket online and show your student ID at the entrance.

Shorts Collection: International Women’s Day
The short films It’s Different for Girls, Taboo: The Unspoken Truth About Women’s Health, and Girls are made to make love show how past ideas still influence how women’s bodies are viewed in science, healthcare, and technology. They reveal where women are treated unequally and how expectations around care and reproduction play a role. After the films, moderator Iris Romeijnders will talk with, among others, physician and professor Sabine Oertelt‑Prigione about how inequality arises, what it means for our health, and what needs to change to better understand and support women.
Sunday 8 March, 13:00. Find tickets for this programme here. Note: this programme is in English.
International Women’s Day: Exploring our role in the patriarchy
InScience and LUX Nijmegen present a special programme on International Women’s Day about how health, gender and power dynamics influence our daily lives. In a workshop, Suus ter Braak and the audience will explore the role we each play within the patriarchy and how we might break that system. Radboudumc researcher Nicole van Gelder will show how even small actions contribute to inequality and shape society more broadly.
Sunday 8 March, 16:00. Find tickets for this programme here. Note: this programme is in English.
