Julia van Tol-Geerdink, researcher Shared Decision Making, is appointed as member of the Dutch Health Council (Gezondheidsraad).

She is now member of the permanent committee on Population screening and of the temporary committee on AAA screening (Abdominal Aorta Aneurysm), which both hold monthly meetings in Utrecht. The Health Council is an independent advisory board to the Ministry of Health, and can give solicited and unsolicited advice to Parliament on health care issues.
