Roll-out and further development
The aim of the project organisation is, of course, that many more researchers will make use of the DRE. “The Digital Research Environment (DRE) is a cloud based, globally available research environment where data is stored and organized securely and researchers can quickly generate workspaces to collaborate in and use the applications they love. We know that not everyone is already familiar with the platform, and perhaps there are still functionalities missing, which means that some departments do not yet use the DRE as their standard platform. In order share information about the DRE, to gain insight into why people choose or do not choose the DRE and to find out which functionalities are essential for certain types of studies, we will be making a tour along all departments in the coming period," says project leader Karin Stukker. The insights from the discussions will be taken into account in the further development of the platform and in the implementation of the DRE within the department. Updates on the functionalities that will be added in the product, will be shared within the organisation.
