The 21st World Conference on Bronchoscopy and Intervention Pulmonology (WCBIP) is currently taking place in Shanghai. This is organized by the WABIP. Erik van der Heijden, member of the scientific organizing committee, received the prize ‘The Distinguished WABIP Regent Award'.

The WABIP presents the Distiguished WABIP Regent Award to any Regent of the WABIP who has made significant contributions to the development of the activities of WABIP in his country during his term as Regent. The award is recognizes the key role of the Regents in the structure of the WABIP.

Improved method for detecting lung cancer

Optimizing workup in head and neck cancer (HNC)

23 July 2020 In the journal Cancer RIHS researcher Henrieke Schutte described the outcomes after the implementation of a fast-track multidisciplinary integrated HNC care program: time-to-treatment was significantly reduced and survival and patient satisfaction increased significantly without increasing costs. read more
