Guillen Fernandez: "We had a wonderful Goodbye & Hello event on January 11th. It was great talking to so many of you and enjoying the positive spirit while listening to good old Beatles songs. After careful planning, our Research Institute for Medical Innovation is opened, but now the actual work starts!
To add value to a research institute, so that it is not just the sum of its parts, requires your active contribution. Research institutes are almost exclusively shaped by their people. That is why we invite you to get involved, to actively shape the new institute by your contribution.
We begin immediately with a key strategic project, the design of an initial set of research programs, which are focused- and sustainable long-term collaborations that have defined a common goal within our overarching aim of innovating population health and health care. These programs are thus characterized by a research- and funding strategy addressing the defined goal with an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach.
Potential research programs are being explored by the current theme leaders and two additional explorers (Saskia de Wildt and Alain van Gool) in a process moderated by the Research and Innovation Board. More information can be found here. Please contact one of the twenty explorers, you think is best suited to get your idea on the drawing board as soon as possible."
RIHS & RIMLS awards
During the Goodbye and Hello event the last RIHS and RIMLS Award ceremony took place, with the awardees accepting their prizes.
Cakes & Coffee
During the Celebration we invited you to take a time to visit us at the new Radboudumc Research Institute workplace (Route 114). And as promised, there are freshly baked cakes waiting for you this week, along with a good coffee or a cup of tea. We are looking forward to seeing you here!
