We develop nanoparticle-based gels for the treatment of chronic bone infections such as osteomyelitis. Our injectable colloidal gel combines hydroxyapatite and gelatin nanoparticles to deliver antibiotics directly to infected bone tissue, including hard-to-reach intracellular bacteria. This platform enables sustained, localized therapy while promoting bone regeneration, reducing recurrence and accelerating patient recovery.
