Tips & Tricks for your video

We would like to give the videos that we post on the Radboudumc website a consistent and professional look. There is a number of tips that you could apply to contribute to this:

  • Preferably film while holding the phone horizontally, ‘on its side’;
  • Use a camera of reasonable to good quality. These days most smartphones have a good camera. Preferably use the camera on the back of the phone, instead of the selfie camera, as it provides better quality images;
  • Eliminate distracting decor, unless it has a clear function in the video;
  • Preferably film in daylight. Either outside, or in a bright room. Be careful never to film against the light, by making sure the light source is behind the camera instead of in front of it (e.g. do not film a person standing in front of a bright window);
  • Ensure that the key person is completely visible – and recognizable - in the picture, so other persons with Parkinson’s can identify with them (e.g. do not just show an exercise with your legs, without viewers knowing who those legs belong to);
  • Please be careful to not portray other persons in the video who did not explicitly consent to this.
