Jack Wetzels is a full professor at the Radboud Institute for Health Sciences. He is connected to the Renal disorders theme and to the Nephrology department.

Professor Jack Wetzels is engaged with the diagnostics, treatment, and prognostics of patients with kidney diseases that are characterized by proteinury (loss of protein in urine) and in particular a nephritic syndrome. Guidelines for diagnosis and treatment have been developed for these patients. His research focuses on the search for proteins in urine that are predictors of prognosis. In addition, effective treatment strategies have been developed.
