Jim Peters, PhD, is an epidemiologist and postdoctoral researcher at the IQ Health department of Radboud University Medical Center (Radboudumc), where he also teaches in the Medicine and Biomedical Sciences programs. In his teaching, he contributes to courses in epidemiology, statistics, and research methodology.
His research focuses on breast cancer screening, prediction modeling, and artificial intelligence. He coordinates the PRISMA study, involving nearly 80,000 participants, which investigates the potential of personalized breast cancer screening based on individual risk profiles. Building on this work, the PRISM-AI study evaluates multiple AI models for breast cancer risk prediction.
