Koen van den Dries (14-12-1983) obtained his PhD in Medical Sciences from the Radboud University Nijmegen in 2012 under the supervision of prof. Carl Figdor. After his PhD, he moved to the United States where he worked as a postdoc in the group of prof. Martin Schwartz at the Yale School of Medicine in New Haven. In 2015, he accepted a postdoc position in the group of prof. Alessandra Cambi and he now works as an assistent professor within the Cell Biology Department of the Radboudumc in Nijmegen. Since November 2017, he is enrolled in the Radboudumc Galilei track for talented postdocs. His primary research interest focuses on unraveling the nanoscale organization and dynamics of actin-based cytoskeletal structures important for cell migration using cutting-edge quantitative bio-imaging techniques.
