About Martijn Huijnen

Martijn is full professor at CMBI and interested in research around comparative genomics and molecular biology. He investigates how to exploit the wealth of genomic information that includes complete genome data, expression data, proteomics data and protein interaction data to obtain a better understanding of the working of the cell at a molecular level. Development of both concepts and protocols to turn noisy genomics data into reliable predictions of protein function and pathways, as well using these protocols to study specific biomolecular systems, such as the mitochondria, are among his main interests.
