What does this mean for visitors or companions of a patient?

You are sick, you have flu or cold symptoms, such as coughing, sneezing, sore throat or runny nose

We kindly ask you to wear a face mask if you have flu or cold symptoms when visiting your loved one or accompanying them to an appointment. Face masks are available at our entrances.

Accompanying your loved one from a distance

We understand that it can be difficult to decide not to visit your loved one or accompany them to an appointment due to flu or cold symptoms. Fortunately, there are other ways to support your loved one from a distance.

At appointments

As a patient, you can also involve your loved one by telephone during an appointment. It is always possible to call a partner, family member or friend and put them on speakerphone during your appointment. This way your loved one can listen in and also say something or ask a question.
If you want, you can record the conversation on your cell phone so you can listen back to it together later.
You can also ask your healthcare provider to make an audio recording of the conversation.

For admissions

A tablet is available on each ward. If you do not have a cell phone or tablet yourself, you can use it to stay in touch with your loved ones. Our staff will be happy to help you.
