About

The Scale-Up4Rehab project is a five-year initiative focused on improving access to rehabilitation care and enhancing health system resilience in Northwestern Europe. It aims to digitalize the rehabilitation sector by developing an open virtual rehabilitation clinic and expanding existing virtual therapies, showcased through five regional pilots integrating virtual rehabilitation into diverse care environments.

The objective of the Scale-Up4Rehab project is to advance the use of virtual reality (VR) in healthcare, particularly for rehabilitation and pain management, by achieving a significant breakthrough in its application. Building on existing expertise in the Netherlands and collaborating with 13 partners across six countries, the project aims to establish a virtual rehabilitation clinic. This platform will provide high-quality, validated virtual and blended therapies accessible anytime and anywhere, benefiting both patients and healthcare providers.

The initiative also supports companies by enabling shared marketing, sales, and service efforts. By addressing barriers to scaling and accelerating adoption, the project seeks to enhance equal access to care and drive the digital transformation of the rehabilitation sector in Northwestern Europe.
