Research News Radboudumc’s business development in 2025

2025 has been another positive year for Radboudumc's Business Development & Holding (RIMI), advancing healthcare and economic contributions. With 22 new ideas and 19 license agreements, the institution continues to bridge innovative healthcare technologies with practical applications.

This year, Radboudumc launched two new products, reflecting years of research aimed at improving patient care. Additionally, €48 million in capital was raised, bringing the total raised over the past five years to €195 million.

Alongside the launch of products, the year also witnessed the creation of 2 spin-off companies: Saturn Pelvic Health and Plain. Pelvic Health focuses on innovative solutions for pelvic health, while Plain is advancing solutions in the field of digital healthcare. With a total of 23 spin-offs to date, Radboudumc is continuing to foster groundbreaking advancements in pharmaceuticals, medtech, and diagnostics.

Through these efforts, Radboudumc remains committed to translating research into real-world solutions, benefiting both healthcare and the economy. With ongoing research collaborations and a growing pipeline of new ideas, the future looks promising for continued innovation.
