The Sex and Gender in Health Research Roundtable is a monthly online meeting where alternating speakers are invited and a wide range of topics is discussed, including methodology, study design and empirical research findings. The aim of the roundtable is to promote knowledge on the integration of sex and gender in health research and to connect researchers working on this theme across disciplines.
To date, the roundtable has attracted over 200 registrations from 15 different countries, reflecting strong international interest. In collaboration with START NVG&G, the Early Career Researcher network of the Dutch Association for Gender & Health (NVG&G), a monthly newsletter is circulated. This newsletter provides background information on relevant topics (e.g. the gender pay gap, inclusive medical illustrations), highlights upcoming conferences and funding opportunities and includes a short recap of each roundtable session. Through this collaboration, we aim to strengthen connections between early career researchers and the broader sex- and gender-sensitive health research community.
The Sex and Gender in Health Research Roundtables are connected to the broader network of the Radboudumc Research Program Sex- and Gender-Sensitive Health and Reproduction. In this role, the Research Program supports the roundtables as part of its broader network and shares roundtable activities and invitations within its community.
Researchers, clinicians, PhD candidates and other interested colleagues are warmly invited to join the roundtables and subscribe to the newsletter.
