On Wednesday 11 June at 16:00, the annual mini-symposium Parliament & Science will take place in the Max van der Stoel Room of the Dutch House of Representatives. This year’s theme is innovation, with a special focus on the healthcare sector. The program will be held in Dutch.

Staff shortages in healthcare are already a pressing issue — and the ageing population shows no signs of slowing down. At the same time, technological developments are moving at breakneck speed. Is artificial intelligence the silver bullet? Can robots help ease the burden on the healthcare system? What skills will healthcare workers need in the near future? And how can we move beyond a siloed view of health policy, which still often falls under the domain of a single ministry?
These and other pressing questions will be addressed by scientists and Members of Parliament during the symposium. While the focus is on healthcare, the event offers valuable insights for anyone interested in innovation more broadly and in the future of the labour market.
