Research Strategy Day 2025 Shaping the future of research: from reflection to action

This year’s Strategy Day marks an important moment for our research community. With the new research organization and governance now in place, and valorization fully embedded, we can shift our focus toward the content and future direction of our research. 
This moment also aligns well with our upcoming institutional research evaluation (SEP), offering an opportunity to reflect and prepare together.

What to expect: 

• A reflection on our current position and the outline of a future strategy 
• We are pleased to welcome Han van Krieken, vice-chair of ZonMw, who will give a keynote offering ZonMw’s perspective on the future of health research. 
• Interactive breakout sessions featuring pitches from each program, followed by peer and expert feedback

This event is especially relevant for senior researchers (Talent Trackers, Research Group Leaders, and (associate) professors) and will focus on strengthening the strategic direction and long-term impact of our research.

• Award ceremonies

  As part of the Strategy Day and the Midsummer Night Event, we are distributing the Envision Award, the Open Science Award and the PhD Supervision Award to our researchers. Would you like to compete and/or nominate a colleague?

  • PhD Supervision Award: PhD candidates are invited to nominate their copromotor for this year’s PhD Supervision Award.

  Deadline for submission of nominations for this award is 19 May 2025!

  • Envision Award: PhD candidates are invited to nominate their supervisor or supervision team. with this award we will again celebrate the creative and communicative power of our research community
  • Open Science Award: We invite nominations of groups affiliated with Radboudumc who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to the principles of Open Science.

  Deadline for submission of nominations for these two awards is 31 May 2025!
