Agenda Drug Repurposing meeting

15 May 2025

Drug repurposing—finding new uses for existing drugs—is an increasingly promising approach, especially for rare diseases where conventional drug development is often too slow or expensive.

But while the potential is high, turning repurposing ideas into clinical solutions is still complex. Regulatory challenges, funding gaps, and the need for cross-disciplinary expertise all stand in the way—which is why this workshops aims at bringing people from genetic, bioinformatic, pharmacology, and clinical research together.

During this meeting current drug repurposing projects, approaches and hurdles will be discussed.
