About the symposium
The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) for breast imaging is creating new opportunities. Several screening programs have already adopted AI to support the reading of mammograms, demonstrating a significant impact on both quality and workflow. Nonetheless, novel technologies also bring new challenges.
We are pleased to invite you to a symposium that will address the state-of-art of AI for breast imaging, exploring new applications and focusing on implementation, including prospective studies and breast cancer risk prediction.
About the symposium
This symposium is intended for healthcare professionals and researchers in breast imaging, as well as patient representatives, managers, and policy officers.
The event is organized by the Department of Medical Imaging of Radboudumc on the occasion of the farewell of Prof. Nico Karssemeijer, who, together with his team, has contributed to the research and development of AI applications in radiology with a focus on breast imaging over the past 30 years.
Following the symposium, at 4:00 pm, a farewell lecture and reception will take place in the Radboud University Auditorium.
We look forward to welcoming you.
