Matchmaking

The main objective of Raboudumc Investment Day is to establish new contacts. That is why we use a matchmaking platform to set up 1-on-1 meetings. After registering for the event, you get access to a digital environment, where you can introduce yourself and connect with other attendees.

You can then reserve a time and table to speak further during the event. Separate time has been set aside in the program for these rounds of discussions. If you want more time, you can also choose to schedule networking talks during the parallel sessions. This way you can create your own program completely tailored to your needs.

Poster competition

A poster session will be held during the event to present research with potential applications in life sciences and health to potential users. The goal of this session is to bridge the gap between scientific research and practical applications. By encouraging early contact between different sectors, new ideas and collaborations can emerge.

Prior to the event, researchers from Radboudumc and Radboud University submit abstracts for the competition, focusing on translating the research into products & services, entrepreneurship and the market. The most promising submissions will be presented on posters during Investment Day. The winner will receive the Martijn Kriens Best Poster Award: €2,500 for the research.

The award is named after Martijn Kriens, who sadly passed away earlier this year. Martijn was, among many other things, one of the founders of and a major driving force behind Investment Day. His passion, energy and company are dearly remembered by the Investment Day organizing team and everyone who knew him.

Winner 2024

Last year's poster competition winner was Nienke Timmermans, with her idea for an algorithm that monitors tremors in patients with Parkinson's disease. Entries in the poster competition were judged not only on their scientific merits, but also on their potential to eventually grow into a successful product.
