Henri Timmers (1971) graduated as MD (1997) and PhD (2004) at the Radboud University, Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Both degrees were obtained cum laude. His PhD thesis was entitled Denervation of carotid baro- and chemoreceptors in humans. He specialized in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology at the Radboud University Medical Centre. In 2006-2009 he was post-doctoral research fellow at the National Institutes of Health (Reproductive and Adult Endocrinology Program, NICHD, Bethesda MD, United States, Prof. Dr. Karel Pacak). His current positions are assistant professor and clinical endocrinologist at the Department of Internal Medicine at the Radboud University Medical Centre. He is steering committee member of the Radboud Adrenal centre, the international Pheochromocytoma and Paraganglioma Research Support Organization (PRESSOR) and of the European Network for the Study of Adrenal Tumors (ENS@T). His principle clinical and scientific focus is on adrenal tumors, especially pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma.
