About Lisa-Marie Smale

Lisa-Marie Smale is a PharmD (summa cum laude, University of Groningen, the Netherlands) whose Master thesis was awarded with a Dr. Saal van Zwanenberg research price, awarded by the Royal Holland Society of Sciences and Humanities. After finishing her studies Lisa-Marie started as a PhD at the Radboudumc, Nijmegen, the Netherlands in 2020. In her PhD she is focussing on increasing sustainability of pharmaceutical care by preventing medication waste. Her focus lies on exploring innovative pharmaceutical care interventions like personalised medication dispensing and medication redispensing for expensive drug therapies, such as oral anticancer drugs.

Lisa-Marie is member of the PhD council, supporting and voicing the needs of her fellow PhD’s at the Radboudumc with a focus on the topic of mental health.
