About Nicole Blijlevens

Research focus of Prof. dr. Nicole Blijlevens is on personalized supportive care to reduce side effects of cancer therapy for patients with hematological diseases and to improve their integrated care. Nicole Blijlevens is an MD, PhD in internal medicine (subspecialty Hematology) and head of the department of hematology (Radboudumc). lnternational activities of Prof. dr. N. Blijlevens include being a certified clinical inspector for the JACIE SCT accreditation program, and membership of the Complications and Quality of life Working Party of the EBMT, membership of the lnfectious diseases group of the EORTC, ICHS and ECIL and of the Mucositis Study Group of the Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC) and of the Oral Care Study Group of the MASCC/ISOO. She is author of several international guidelines, chapters in textbooks and peer-reviewed articles in the field of supportive care. Her national activities include Secretary of Executive Board of the Dutch Society of Hematology (NVvH), Chair Commission Quality of NVvH, Chair Commission of Organization and Finance of NVvH and HOVON, Chair of Supportive Care Working Party of HOVON and Chair Commission Evaluation of Effects and Costs (EEK) of Doelmatigheidsprogramma ZonMW including Member of the Commission DoelmatigheidsOnderzoek ZonMw.
