Clinical mycology

Paul Verweij's research group investigates how aspergillus, a fungus that causes life-threatening infections in immunocompromised and ICU patients, develops resistance.

Epidemiology of tropical infectious diseases

Teun Bousema's research group aims to better understand the biology and epidemiology of malaria parasites and the vectors responsible for their transmission.

Experimental medical parasitology

Benjamin Mordmüller's research group discusses, develops and uses human challenge models to investigate infection, pathophysiology and transmission of infectious agents with the aim to improve medical interventions.
