Research groups organized by our department

Surgery

Kees van Laarhoven's research group aims to facilitate, improve and accomplish sustainable healthy behavior of surgical patients through personalised programs and virtual connected care.

Surgical oncology

Hans de Wilt's research group performs predominantly clinical research in patients with colorectal en GI cancer. The goal is to improve surgical outcome and improve quality of life using new modalities and technique to minimize the surgical trauma.

Translational vascular surgery

Michiel Warlé's research group aims to improve patient outcomes, with a primary focus on vascular surgery, through translational research that integrates molecular and immunological studies, large-scale clinical trials, and the development of innovative technologies.
