Information regarding presentations
During a retreat, you can present a poster or give an oral presentation about your project.
- Poster: During the retreat, there are 2 poster presentation sessions. Posters should be printed and brought by all PhD candidates themselves. On your poster, you can show results obtained within your project, but you are also allowed to present the study design of your project(s).
- Oral presentation: During the retreat, there are multiple oral presentation sessions focusing on various research topics, in which PhD candidates can present their research. An abstract committee will decide which PhD candidates are invited to give an oral presentation based on an assessment of all abstracts.
Notes regarding presentations:
- All PhD candidates are asked to send in an abstract for giving an oral or poster presentation. For PhD candidates who are in the first year of their PhD trajectory, giving an oral or poster presentation is optional, but highly encouraged.
- As the amount of oral presentations is limited, some PhD candidates who would prefer to give an oral presentation might be asked to present a poster instead.
- You will get notified about the type of presentation (oral or poster) you have been selected for around half of June.
-
During a retreat, an inspiring keynote lecture is given by an experienced scientist from in or outside Radboudumc.
-
Usually a hotel is booked, where you spend both days including lodging and transportation service.
Future edition
The date and program of the 2026 edition have yet to be announced. In 2025, the event took place on 26 and 27 March.
One of many recurring research events
This is one of Radboudumc's main research events. Wondering what other events we offer throughout the year?
