About Advanced bioengineering and therapeutics
We develop engineered therapeutics and bioengineered 3D tumor models to target the tumor microenvironment, improve cancer therapies, and accelerate translation of innovative technologies to the clinic.

Achievements
- We have developed a patented peptide therapeutic platform to inhibit stromal desmoplasia in Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, enhancing the efficacy of cancer therapies. This technology led to the creation of the spin-off company ScarTec Therapeutics.
- We have developed a patented tail-flipping targeted nanoliposome platform for selective delivery to macrophages in both primary tumors and metastatic lesions. The technology is currently being advanced toward clinical translation.
- We have pioneered nanomedicine-based strategies to target stromal cell populations, including cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs), enabling reprogramming of the complex tumor microenvironment to improve therapeutic outcomes.
- We have established advanced patient-relevant 3D bioprinted Mini-Brain models by integrating 3D bioprinting, novel biomaterials, and patient-derived organoids to study brain tumors and evaluate therapeutics targeting the tumor microenvironment.
